Dear friends,
In 1977, Terry Fox, a young 18 year old Canadian had his right leg amputated due to bone cancer. While in hospital, Terry was so overcome by the suffering of other cancer patients, many of them being young children, that he decided to run across Canada to raise money for Cancer Research. He would call his journey The Marathon of Hope. Although he lost his own battle against cancer in 1981; Terry’s legacy lives on through an annual fund-raising run held in his name in 60 countries worldwide.
Here in Ho Chi Minh City, the Canadian community has been hosting the annual Terry Fox run since 1996. Last year’s run was the largest to date with close to 8,000 participants and 750,000,000 VND raised for Cancer Research in HCMC. This year we hope to build on last year’s success by welcoming more participants and raising even more money.
Please bring your friends and family and join us for the 5km run in Saigon South at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC). You can walk, run , bike or even roller blade! All participants are provided with refreshments and festivities, including music, games and lots more!

The run will start at 8:00am, however please be sure to arrive at 7:00am if you are planning to register on site. Together with Eureka Kids, let’s celebrate together the 13th Annual Terry Fox Run in HCMC, and do your part in the battle against cancer!!!
